From the Desk of Rick Maine....CCS Athletic Director
I have often said that sports at CCS is much more than just competing in cross country, soccer, volleyball, basketball, golf, or track. Sports at CCS is an opportunity to teach godly character in a way that cannot be done in a classroom. How to use Bible Principles to respond to the physical demands of sports, dirty play from an opponent, name calling from an opponent, tough calls against you, winning with grace, losing without having a bad attitude, helping others like the "No More Sidelines" athletes to enjoy playing a sport, and playing the sport as if you were playing for the Lord, give us the foundation for why we have sports at CCS. It is our desire to use the opportunities in sports to accomplish a greater purpose than just winning or losing....sports at CCS is an opportunity to help our athletes grow in godly character!
